Prayas: An Endeavour...
Every citizen should be entitled to the rights provided by the constitution of this nation upon birth. Those rights include health, nutrition, education and equality of opportunity to lead a life with dignity. Society has however failed to provide the conditions necessary for these rights to be realised. Today these rights and this dignity have to be fought for.

Thus, Prayas was founded based on the recognition that something must be done. Prayas means an 'effort'. Prayas started its fight for human dignity to combat the desolate conditions and social stigmas disabled and underprivileged children are all too often subjected to. With help, children from the marginalized section of society have proved themselves competent enough to be part of respected organizations in the corporate sector. The work of Prayas is to enable even the most marginalised child to create their own independent identity, showcase their talents and to be an inspiration to many. Prayas is dedicated to this fight for human dignity and our efforts are being rewarded by the social recognition that children, no matter what their physical, mental or social challenges, are capable of growth, development and achieving their full potential.
